Jacobina Oele

Born in the Netherlands, Jacobina Oele went to study for five years at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague, Holland and taught there before beginning a series of adventures in the Western Hemisphere. She has lived in The United States since 1995 and is now a Buncombe County, North Carolina resident recently from Sarasota, Florida.
Jacobina, an established muralist and artist, has painted murals for corporate offices, restaurants, doctor’s offices and private residents in Miami where she lived at one time. In 2010 she finished a large mural for the University of Miami (40x14 feet) Her focus has always been on the process of drawing and painting itself. While studying nature she believes it is the act in itself that brings awareness to who we are in relationship to our environment. Her expertise is in teaching people how to make a shift in the brain towards creative thinking skills. |
